Media scrutiny seems one-sided

The media has largely focused on President Joe Biden’s poor performance in his recent debate with Donald Trump. There should be more media attention on Trump’s unhinged behavior and answers during the debate. He never answered several of the questions he was asked. Either he didn’t know the answers or knew they wouldn’t be popular with most Americans. Childishly, he called Biden a “bad Palestinian.”

Trump also made at least 30 false statements during the debate, according to fact checkers. One of the most egregious was his claim that he offered Nancy Pelosi 10,000 troops during the Jan. 6 insurrection and that she turned them down. In fact, she, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer and Kevin McCarthy were begging for help, while Trump watched the insurrection on TV for nearly three hours without doing anything, according to his staff’s testimony to Congress.

The media need to pay more attention to what Trump has done and plans to do, to present a more balanced report for the American people.
