Harris renews hope for nation

My heart was broken the night I watched Joe Biden in his only presidential debate. He showed he just was not able to be president for four more years. The Kamala Harris campaign gives me new hope.

It is going to be prosecutor vs. a felon. It’s going to be support for womens’ rights vs. demand for making abortion criminal. It is going to be a question of age — Donald Trump’s old age vs. Harris’ relative youth. It is going to be Black and female vs. white and male. Most importantly, it is democracy vs. a declaration of intent to eliminate the Constitution — just read Project 2025.

When MAGA adherents return to the belief that they might lose the election, the election process itself will be threatened. Those who support the election process and the Constitution need to now double down to assure that the process takes place legitimately in November.

I thank President Biden for both his excellent record and for his decision to step down.
