Grocery merger can help prices

Every week, I go through my neighborhood grocery store’s coupons and deals, and plan my family’s meals and grocery bills ahead of time.

I’ve seen a huge increase in meat prices, and we’ve done what we can, including going through our freezer stash of steaks, chicken and turkeys to get through these hard times.

I’ve always trusted that Smith’s is doing what it can to keep price increases from hurting even more. I’ve seen a lot in the news about the potential merger with Albertson’s, and when they say they won’t close any stores, I believe them.
