Former President Donald Trump is trying to bend American laws to his will by employing all sorts of delaying strategies and tactics, and somehow he has convinced some people to support him in his attempts to rise above our laws.
For example, the results of Trump’s impeachment trials in the Senate and the Jan. 6, 2021, incident at the U.S. Capitol are stunning and strong indications that Trump has convinced some people that he is above the law, or that it doesn’t apply to him.
Trump is trying to impose his will on our justice system too, and the courts appear to give him preferential treatment. They allow him to flout their rules and, more troubling, seemingly cast a blind eye to his delaying tactics, contrary to how other citizens are treated.
While it may appear that Trump is winning by employing these delaying tactics, he may be speeding up his day of reckoning. Unfailingly, the truth has a way of winning even if Trump is involved. Our laws will win, and Trump will receive the justice he deserves.
