Clark County School Board member Katie Williams must be removed from her trustee position immediately.
Williams has stated that she is not running for reelection in November, however she is still a member of the board until someone else is elected.
She has a duty to represent the school, parents and students in her district. She has missed most of the board meetings this school year. She calls into the meetings but that is just not acceptable.
Reportedly, Williams lives in Nebraska. The board president, Evelyn Morales, should remove Williams and appoint an interim person to fulfill the duties that Williams is apparently not interested in doing anymore.
Morales won’t do that, though, because she needs Williams’ vote to continue the failed policies of the school district.
