Almost on a daily basis I see things on the news and in the paper I just don’t understand. It seems like there is no common sense anymore.
The latest, aside from the political banter, is the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Does it think the Aces players don’t make enough money? When they’re playing or on the news, everyone knows they’re from Las Vegas, so I’m not sure what other “advertising” can be done.
If the LVCVA gave $100,000 to 12 homeless people, they’d be happy to advertise Las Vegas and what a wonderful place it is.
It looks like the LVCVA is just another entity that someone thought a long time ago was a good idea to help promote Las Vegas. It seems like it has a lot of money to spend with no oversight — pretty much like the government.
