LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Vance told us who Trump is

As members of minority ethnic groups consider their voting options in November, they should consider the kind of people that former President Donald Trump would inevitably bring in to run his administration if he is elected.

More importantly, they should consider how a new Trump administration would address the issues most important to them: jobs, immigration and violence against minorities, among them.

Trump’s own selection for vice president, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, is no stranger to the subject. He has spoken out about how Trump and his administration would treat minorities in 2025:

“There are, undoubtedly, vile racists at the core of Trump’s movement,” Vance wrote on Facebook in 2016.

As Maya Angelou has cautioned, “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” Maybe we should consider that a warning.
