AOL Travel lists 5 best casinos in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip can be an overwhelming mess of flashing lights and monstrous resorts for any first-time visitor, so AOL Travel has broken it down into an easy to digest list of must-see casinos.

In no particular order, AOL Travel named MGM Grand, Bellagio, Venetian, Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace as its top five casinos in Las Vegas, and they’re being recognized for a lot more than their wealth of slot machines.

AOL Travel named MGM Grand to its list for its sheer size, attractions like the Lion Habitat and its array of dining from top chefs like Michael Mina and Tom Colicchio.

The Bellagio’s choreographed fountain show put the refined and upscale casino on the list, while the Venetian was noted for its romantic gondola rides.

The glittering gold property at the south end of the Strip known as Mandalay Bay made the top five for its Shark Reef aquarium and Hubert Keller’s upscale burger joint, Burger Bar.

Visitors who want to experience a bit of ancient Rome with a modern twist can go to Caesars Palace, AOL Travel said. The travel site listed the Oasis Pool complex and Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill as the resort’s top amenities.
